Strategy on every diagonal
A checkers match does not depend on reflexes or luck: the challenge is to read the position, anticipate replies and decide when to advance, trade pieces, create a capture sequence or preserve a defensive structure.
The game uses a 64-square board and the Brazilian checkers rules adopted in this version. Men move one square diagonally forward when not capturing. Captures are mandatory and can be made forward or backward.
When several captures are possible, the maximum capture rule applies: the player must choose a sequence that captures the greatest number of opposing pieces. Multiple captures continue with the same piece until the chosen sequence is complete.
If a man reaches the last row during a capture, it continues only if it can still capture as a man. When continuation would only be possible as a king, the move ends. Promotion to a king occurs at the end of the move.
