How to play

Match the open ends and empty your hand

Dominoes Joy is a free game of double-six dominoes in the browser, played against the computer. The set has 28 tiles, from 0-0 to 6-6. Each player starts with seven tiles. You win by playing every tile in your hand before the computer does.

How a turn works

Look at the two open ends of the layout. A tile can be played only if one of its numbers matches an open end. The new tile becomes the end on that side.

If none of your tiles matches, draw from the boneyard. A tile you draw may be played at once if it fits. Otherwise keep drawing while tiles remain. When the boneyard is empty and you still have no matching tile, you pass.

Children’s mode keeps the same rules and replaces the pips with fruit and symbols, so each number is easier to tell apart. The tiles are large enough to tap on a phone.

Before the deal, choose Easy or Hard. On Easy the computer plays any tile that fits. On Hard it chooses among the tiles that fit instead of picking one at random.

Rules

Open ends Only the two exposed numbers accept a tile. The rest of the layout is closed.
Hand You start with seven tiles. The first player to place all of them wins.
Boneyard Draw only when you cannot play. Stop drawing when a drawn tile fits or when no tiles remain.
Pass With an empty boneyard and no matching tile, the turn passes to the computer.
